Meet Jill

The woman behind Locs N Locks Haircare! After attaining her bachelor’s degree from USF then seeking a career change, Jill decided to explore a career in the beauty industry. She graduated from the extended Master Program at Aveda Institute in March 2013 and was voted to speak at graduation for her class. She also won first place at the yearly Aveda Institute hairstyling competition. Those were both awesome moments for her and an exciting beginning to her career in the beauty industry. She worked at an Aveda salon immediately after graduation then went on her own for a little while renting a chair at a salon.

She later discovered a fantastic all natural hair salon that specialized in Sisterlocks (TM). At the time she didn’t know what Sisterlocks (TM) were. Being that the clientele there was about 90% Sisterlocks (TM), it was necessary she learned and add this new knowledge to her skill-set. She took the Sisterlocks (TM) class in October 2013 and was amazed at the technique, skill, and patience required to do great work. She was blessed to practice under wonderful women that had worked with Sisterlocks (TM) since the mid-90’s! She continues to understand the emense benefit to having a mentor and to keep her skills sharp.

She currently enjoys working with Sisterlocks (TM), traditional locs, natural hair, and cutting hair. Styling and coloring hair is also something she provides as a service. As a full-time hair care professional, she enjoys helping others with their hair challenges and goals. This gives her the most joy and satisfaction overall.
